Latest news of the Callender Household

Well, as most of you know, 't is the time again for us. Yes, we are moving again. That will be the 4th move and 5th base in 6 years...

Let's back up a little first. Emilie finished Kindergarten on June 4th with a sprinkler and ice cream Sundae party as well as an amazing report card. We are very proud of her and her accomplishments this year!

Sprinkler Party --------Emilie and some of her friends

Our very good friends and neighbors, the Cantilinas threw us a pool going away party at their house. The kids loved swimming and the food was fabulous. We will really miss our friends :-(

Mike and Carl --------Lilly and Claire enjoying some delicious food

THe kids hanging out in the hot tub because they thought the water was too cold...

Mike got selected to take command of a squadron at Keesler AFB in Biloxi, MS. The Change of Command happened last week and we were blessed to be surrounded by family - Nana, John and Marife flew over - and really good close friends, Chris and Lisa Morgan from OH and Joanna Orphanos from MA. We were very happy to see them all again and share this big event with them!

The lighting in the auditorium was really bad so the pictures of the CoC are not the best...

Mike taking over the squadron flag and therefore the squadron itself

The girls were acting a little crazy so I ended up carrying Emilie (more pics soon)

Our movers will be coming next week, 2 days for packers then they will load everything on the 3rd day and hopefully will deliver it the following day. We will be living on base in a 2 stories house with all the base commanders. The house is pretty new since it was finished in Nov 08.

In July, we will try to make Mike's uncle and aunt 50th wedding anniversary in IN and then the girls will start school mid-Aug. We got them enrolled in a Catholic school very close to the base. THey will both be going full time and be wearing uniforms.

My camera has been acting up so I wasn't able to take too many pictures lately and I also forgot the cord to download pictures in MS so please come back next week to see more pictures :-)

Our little gymnast

Today was Claire's medal ceremony at US Gold Gymnastics. She has been attending that class once a week on Wednesday morning since August.
She loves it and I have to admit she is really good at it. Here are a few videos of the event. I will let you be the judge of it...

Happy Mother's Day

Today is Mother's Day and I am so blessed to be the Maman of two beautiful daughters. They are the joy of my life and Mike and I are so thankful to have them in our lives.

I love them with all my heart...

Je souhaite aussi une tres Bonne Fete des Meres a ma Maman !

A Mother's Love
What is a Mother's love?
It is something that is very, very special.
It is something that no one can really explain.
It's something that is made up of much deepdevotion, joy, pain and sacrifice.
It is endless and unselfish and it endureswhatever may come.
It is full of hopes, dreams, tears and pleasure.
Nothing can ever destroy it or take thatspecial love away.
It is very patient and forgiving.
A Mother's love is a lifelong commitmentto selflessness.
More often than not, it requires much moregiving than receiving.
But it is something that is given with delight, gratitude, enthusiasm and much satisfaction.
A Mother's love never fails or falters eventhough the heart is breaking.
It is always believing when all the rest of theworld is condemning.
A Mother's love is a splendored miracle that mancannot understand.
It is something that cannot be measured, for it has no beginning or no end.

Happy Mother's Day Tea

(Don't forget to turn off or pause the music on the left before watching to the videos)

Today I was invited to Claire's class for a Mother's Day Tea. They put on a little show with most of the songs they had learned throughout the year and made us an ice cream cake with sherbet drink. It was delicious! Claire also made me a flowers hat and a corsage :-) as well as a beautiful drawing. It was a wonderful morning...
