Last days...
Well this was Papy and Maminou's last week in Florida. Yes, they have been with us for 2 months. I think they will be happy to go home to Belgium to a quiet house and relax for a while before I show up with the girls in a few weeks... :-)

We did get to celebrate Maminou's birthday a few days in advance at the Melting Pot and we got her an ice cream cake for her birthday.

We have enjoyed taking them to the beach, shopping (Maminou loves the outlet and found a lot of new clothes) and just spend time with us.

It has been great to have them around while Mike was gone!
In 2 weeks, we will have my cousins, Marie-Chantal and Luc's visit from Belgium! And then we will all be off to Belgium for a few weeks...

Field Trip at the Fire Station, the Pumpkin Patch
On Thursday, Claire's class went to visit their next door neighbors, the fire fighters... She was very shy the whole time and wanted to stay with me. When time came to shoot some water, she did not want to do it and I had to take the hose and spray the lawn...

On Monday, Emilie's class went to the Children's Park and the Pumpkin Patch. It was a very chilly day but the sun was out and the kids had a blast. We started at the park where they played and had lunch. Then we headed to the pumpkin patch where there were 3 stations (science, book story and activity). They each got to bring home a small pumpkin and their pumpkin craft. When we got back to school, they all were exhausted!

Pumpkin Patch
Today Maminou and I went to the Pumpkin Patch with the girls. It is a very small event compared to the ones we've been at in OH and NM. We were expecting a petting zoo (supposed to be every Saturday - and that's why we chose to go there that day) but there was a festival going on this weekend and they got to have the petting zoo instead... We did get the face/hand painting and the bouncy castle though...

Claire is passing her head AND her pumpkin through the hole...

The girls each chose a small pumpkin and I got to carve my first one. Usually Mike is in charge of that. I have to admit it was quite an experience but I am pretty proud of myself...
